TDF’s MagnifiScience Centre in Karachi hosted National Foods Pakistan and GoRead.pk for the launch of their bilingual children’s storybook, “Sheena’s Flight – A Journey Through Pakistan’s Changing Waters.” Written by Nusser Sayeed and illustrated by Saleha Ghani, the book introduces young readers to Pakistan’s evolving water landscapes and the importance of environmental awareness and water conservation.
Storytelling to Inspire Environmental Learning
The event featured a live reading session of Sheena’s Flight, followed by an interactive discussion with children and families. Through the story of Sheena’s journey across Pakistan’s waterways, young audiences explored themes such as clean water, ecosystem preservation, and responsible environmental behavior.
Through interactive discussion and guided storytelling, GoRead.pk emphasized how narrative-driven learning can help young readers connect scientific concepts to everyday life, fostering curiosity and empathy for the planet.
