GoRead.pk conducted a special storytelling session at SIUT Children’s Hospital, creating a joyful and comforting experience for young patients and their caregivers. The session was led by Nusser Sayeed, Founder of GoRead.pk, who read the Urdu story “Gullu” by Shahbano Bilgrami, illustrated by Naila Ahmed.

Using Stories to Bring Comfort and Connection

Children gathered to enjoy Gullu’s journey, engaging in an interactive discussion that encouraged imagination, participation, and emotional expression. The experience reinforced the role storytelling can play in creating moments of relief and joy within healthcare settings. After the session, children received refreshments and goody bags, adding to the sense of celebration and care.

A Meaningful Collaboration to Support Young Patients

The presence of Prof. Adib Rizvi, Director of SIUT, and Dr. Sajid Sultan, Head of Paediatric Urology, underscored SIUT’s commitment to holistic care – care that extends beyond treatment to emotional well-being.

For GoRead.pk, the event reflects its mission to use children’s literature to inspire, comfort, and empower young readers – even in the most challenging environments. By bringing storytelling into hospitals, GoRead.pk continues to champion reading as a powerful tool for connection, healing, and hope.
