Connecting volunteers with classrooms in underprivileged schools

GoRead.pk offers literate adults aged 18 and above the opportunity to work together to transform Pakistan’s educational landscape. Our volunteers, known as GoReaders, dedicate just one hour a week for six weeks to read stories aloud to children in underprivileged classrooms and communities across the country.

These joyful storytelling sessions help children enhance their language skills, develop character, build confidence, and learn new ideas, while giving them a safe space to express their thoughts and creativity.
Through this meaningful engagement, GoReaders gain firsthand understanding of the grassroots realities of Pakistan’s education system and the challenges faced by the children they serve.

As GoReaders and communities come together, social divides shrink, mutual understanding grows, and we move closer to building a literate, compassionate, and empowered Pakistan.

Testimonials

The Aao Saath Parhain Volunteer Program by GoRead.pk has a simple model. One hour per week, And yet, that hour became one of the most meaningful part of my week.
Each week, I’d walk into a classroom where bright, curious little faces lit up as we read and discussed beautiful stories together. Stories that weren’t just fun — they were powerful, carrying real-life lessons about kindness, courage, and empathy.

For six weeks, I had the joy of reading to young girls through GoRead.pk’s volunteer program. With each passing week, my excitement only grew. Every week brought more smiles, laughter, and deeper connections that would brighten not just their day—but mine as well. The Aao Saath Parhain Volunteer Program is a beautiful opportunity for anyone who loves reading and cherishes spending time with children. It’s full of warmth, connection, and life. The memories you make here will stay with you forever.

I volunteered for the Aao Saath Parhain Series 7 and 8 by GoRead.pk and it was truly a heartwarming experience. Engaging with students through books written by Nusser Saeed and thoughtfully illustrated made each session meaningful and memorable. The children were completely immersed. Initiatives like these not only nurture a lifelong love for reading but also leave a lasting impact on children’s hearts and minds.
